Hi,
I drive a 1995 V6 3.8l Mustang. A few days ago it started overheating, I had a look at it, seemed to be the water pump. Finally got the new Parts and took it to the mechanic.
What we saw there was that it was leaking from behind the water pump.
It seems like it might be some sort of gasket, but what gasket comes behind the wp?
I´m kinda new to working on cars, but I´ll try to explain the location a bit better:
If you look at the point where the wp is put on and follow that toward the engine. So basically where, whatever part this is, meets the engine block, that´s where it started getting wet.
Does anyone know what that is and what part I might need?
Have a great day!
Tiago
