I started the car two days ago, and got a cloud of clear bluishwhite smoke that i had never seen before.. so i killed it and started it again and got nothing..

then i tore up this truck the other day, and my friend said i was leaving behind little bursts of smoke.. but after he said that i got on it a lil later and no smoke of any kind..

then last night i passed someone on the highway kinda nailing it, and i could smell raw oil for a few seconds (windows up, no air on)

i was going to second guess the pcv, but if anyone has any ideas let me know... thanks

my 98 was doing something similiar to that. i found the pcv oil seperator in the how to section. it was pulling allkinds of oil into the plenum so that a nice collection of oil was sitting in the bottom of my intake manifold. did the pcv thing(really easy), & no more oil poofs when taking off.

as i went to add oil i noticed that the plastic right below the cap for the valve cover was cracked, in fact i completely broke it off trying to unscrew the cap.. fml..

i hope my npi covers will work, teardown for the cams began yesterday.

Your valve seals are starting to leak. You'll start to notice that the longer you car sits (Like over night) the more it's going to smoke. It starts out slow and intermittent like what you're experiencing now. It's not a huge problem as it's not going to cause catastrophic failure if you keep an eye on your engine oil level but it may get worse. I'd look into upgrades.

What's you oil pressure at?

I guess I should have been more clear, have you checked your true oil pressure, but you answered no.
