Cutting Out/Backfire problem

I have a problem with my recent rebuild. I do hear two lifters on passenger side that is ticking and one on the driver side I think. Could this cause a miss?

also I might note that the miss wasn't there when I first got the car going but here after I have ran it awhile.

Also might note that I bought a MSD coil off a friend and Im note sure if maybe this is the cause, but I have a known good one to check that with. the distributor is the original, but I have a new cap and rotor.

you have lifter noise after a rebuild? are you rockers adjusted right/push rods the right length? how far did you go into the motor on said rebuild?

I have a feeling I let the guy helping me look over the torque down of the lifters. It is very slight. and the rebuild was very minimum. heads didn't come off. the lifters was off to replace the valve springs to trick flow.
