D1 sc BPV

I am building my first centrifugal setup with a pro charger D1. I have the option for either the Red race bypass or recirculating it back to the supercharger inlet. I went with the recirculation just simply because it was quieter.

What are the pros and cons between the two? And am I making the right decision?

I know nothing about S/C's I won't lie about that, but I have to guess that the recirculation would funcion something like an EGR valve. Taking the old air and putting it back into the system.. I could be wrong but like I said that would be my guess.

We offer a recirculating race bypass as well, the main difference between the two black and reds and the skills needed and your boost levels. The black bypass will splice into a hose where your red race valve will take some welding and notching. I see red race kits being used in everything, the black basic bypass valves usually are used on low boost applications, or in a p1-SC kit. Anything above 15psi I recommend the recirculating red race bypass or the atmospheric red race bypass.

Recirculating is quite has to bleed off back in after the maf , atmosphere is a lil noisy depending on the bpv itself has to bleed off everything before the maf. I like bleeding it off to the atmosphere because its a lil cleaner no need to run a hose from the one aside to the other.

Also unless your intecooled its going to be hard to run a non recirculating bpv..

If you are running a blow through MAF or slot style, you will be able to run an atmospheric (like the Big Red) with no problem, granted it is tuned correctly. If not, you will need to leave it recirculated so that your MAF has accurate readings and it will help engine smoothness.
