Dipstick Tube Question

I bought my 94 with bbk long tube headers and my dipstick tube is bent really weird and only zip tied to a hose by the brake fluid Reservoir. The bracket on the tube isn’t bolted to anything. I’ve noticed that I’m leaking oil now from where the tube goes into the block. So I cut the zip ties and the tube pulls right out with zero effort. Is this normal? Does it really just sit in there? I’ve been reading on some forums a fox body dip stick tube will work with only one bend. How are you all mounting your dipstick tubes with long tube headers? Thanks

Yes, the tube is just a friction fit to the block. Clean the tube and surrounding area, apply a little Permatex ultra black, slide into block, attach bracket with header bolt. You may need to fab some kind of bracket extension.
