I live on the southside of okc and I go watch these guys race all the time. Unfortunately in the show the street racing portion is all staged since discovery couldn't get a legal permit to film "actual" street racing but the races themselves are real. If you guys get a chance check out Cash Days on YouTube and It's actually the real street racing videos with everyone from the show. What the hell I'll just post it up.

not to mention these last couple weeks have been almost straight hell since the tornado almost took out my house with my car in it. missed my house by less than 100 yards. haha little to close to home if you ask me.

Haha Thanks man! Luckily it missed us. There was about three houses in the back of my neighborhood that got completely wiped off there foundation. There wasn't even a bored left from them. And my neighborhood is only about 6 streets and I live on the 3rd one.

I watched it. Fake or not it was entertaining. Some of the shop drama I can relate to.

I watched last night's episode. Those upper 'list' cars are FAST. Couldn't imagine driving them in a non-controlled environment.

Yea all that money they spent on the car you would think they would be able to afford, and be smart enough to test a car like that on a track.

eh. i miss street racing. there's an aspect to it that track-racing misses. I can understand their desire to stick to street racing.

Especially since it looks like the police are blocking off roads for them to do it. I'd be there in a heartbeat, even if i was rockin' my '89 buick. LOL

That's not what the cars are built for. They are built for 90% street racing. They need to know how they are going to react to a non prepped surface. Yeah they throw down some pimp juice but that's nothing compared to a track.

Was that why they were all excited to find the one spot already had rubber laid down on it? Between daytime testing on the road and daytime testing on the track the decision should be simple. If it isn't going to pull straight at the track it will not do it on the road so between some track time or no road time I would still try the track.

i dont know why they were excited to find that.... if i found a spot with marks already (genuine drag marks, not just billy-bob doing a burnout for youtube.) I'd think it's already been tapped recently, the cops may already be onto it....

That was my thought as well. Only reason I saw it being something they liked was extra traction. If traction is really something that gets them excited then I would think the track would be fun too? I can understand the fun of it I think right up till the point that the "street cars"(wink wink) show up on trailers with 2000hp to play in traffic on unprepped surfaces. I mean if that is the case why bother with a certified roll cage if you are all about the street?

Anyone know the times these cars run? I have a friend with a shop car that runs true street and goes 8.30's (turbo 357). Are these THAT much faster? They say they have the fastest in the country. Do they run mid low 7's?
