I took this pic awhile back before I installed the oil drive shaft. Both shafts are the same length, the stock drive shaft is on the right and the melling the one I'm using is on the left. If you look at the collar on the melling it sits higher and is different on the stock one. On the stock shaft, I measured the distance inside the cup where the oil pump shaft sits and I trimmed the same amount off the distributor shaft and I put the distributor in and now it sits flush with no gap.
