Door latch isn't catching properly

I don't know if it can be adjusted or what, but my door handle isn't unlatching until I pull it almost all the way up. Feels like the latch is out of alignment or something. Anyone experience this? Any ideas how to fix it?

that's common on older cars. open yur door and look at the hinge. you should see some bolts , get a friend, loosen bolts, lift door slightly , tighten bolts, gently close door, ck for fitment, repeat if necessary. if that doesn't work for ya, you may need a hinge bushing repair kit
