So here is how I installed a double-din 6disk dvd HU into my 94GT.........
Car has the Mach460.........I only changed the HU for now......LOTS MORE TO COME........

Pop off the old bezel..... and trim it to fit the '04 DD bezel.......

Because I like metal fab and HATE thievin little bastards.....I got creative and bendy............I used the metal cross bar in there for support and place to anchor the chassis........ I also used an anchor on the bottom tab to where the dash is bolted.....

Here's how I cut and bent the chassis..... Has alittle spring in it to keep the skip to a minimum. She's not clean but works like a charm........

For the gap, I just cut a piece of black plexi alittle bigger than the opening and then cut the hole for the screen. I attached the trim piece to the bezel with hot glue and done.......

I still haven't found myself the shifter bezel though..... As for the holes, I just got blanks as there will be switches for interior lighting before too long.

I am fairly sure there is an easier way to mount it by modifying a newer model mustang(05+) kit to fill the gap and mount it fairly solidly. I have not seen a write-up on it but heard you can do it.

I didn't pay $1400 for this HU...... I got everything except the trim ring which was kinda odd to me. But for $300 I couldn't bitch. Hell, I put the damn thing in my buddy's Tahoe when he bought it brand new.... When he traded it in, they said they wouldn't give hime any more $$ for the truck with or without the HU so he pulled outta the dash right there.... And the Denali had the nav already.....

I just got my bezel yesterday, I'm gonna do the same with a couple more mods, it looks good though, I hope the support isn't a PITA to fabricate. I'm wondering if I can black out the switches and use them for say my fan or other things

as I said I am fairly sure you can easily modify the bracket from an '05 kit to make it fit. If you were to go by your local car audio shop and tell them what you are doing they might be able to help with the mounting to sell you a kit. Ignor them if they say you have to rip everything out to install a deck, they are wrong.

Seems like anytime I go to do any sort of stereo work, my bezel comes out and something else gets torn apart. Last time I had seats, doorpanels, all the trunk sides and the bezel out. Go taking stuff apart!

I'll be stripping the car almost completely here before too long...... Second Skin spray on deadener for the doors, top and rearsides behind the doors.........Dynamat Extreme on the rear deck, floor and in the trunk also....... That odda get rid of the road noise and keep the rattles to a minimum....

I'll start my stereo build log soon......Here's what is going in
-BIG 3 electrical upgrade... 0/1g Phoenix Gold wire from alt to isolator to front and rear batteries, 0/1g grounds and 150 amp alt.
-Phoenix Gold battery isolator
-Phoenix Gold Xenon 600.1 (monoblock)
-Phoenix Gold Titanium 12" / 15" sub
-Phoenix Gold Xenon 100.4 (4 chn)
-Phoenix Gold RSd6.5 components (front and rear)
-Phoenix Gold TLD66 line driver
-ALL Phoenix Gold accessories (i.e. Battery terminals, power/ground distro blocks, 0/1g set screw connections ect.....)
-ALL Phoenix Gold PLATINUM SERIES rca's

If I can figure out how to pull a good center chan signal, I might custom mold the clock pod to house a 3" midrange and another for the rear deck to run a 6.1 setup for the movies....but thats a maybe......
LOTS to do...

you are not saying you need to gut the mach system to put a deck in are you? If you are this is wrong and I would be happy to show you how. The mach system is the easiest of the premium systems I have ever integrated into, be happy to help you.
