Dyno today went WELL

Well im happy with the dyno run today, all went very good. Got there at 845 this morning, and went right on the rollers. Im loading about 20 pics from today as well as a vid ( vid sucks though, you see and hear my truck but thats it :nonono:, I REALLY need a new camcorder ) anyway im keeping you in suspense until I get every thing loaded All Ill tell you is that my timing is NOW set at a super safe 14* rather than the 16* I had before. We decided that 16 was a tad too much since my boost is STILL at 17psi, even though I now have longtubes and a new high flow mid pipe. We found that Each degree of timing on my truck is worth about 10rwhp and 12ft tq. So I could have had a extra 20rwhp and 24tq on top of my numbers from today IF we had kept the 16* off of my previous tune........but im safer now and dont have ANYTHING to worry about AT ALL. :thumb:

new air box ( part of my new coolaid kit ) I goofed when i made the order and forgot to add in the optional elbow that replaces that black stock one :nonono:

this is a shut off for the air scoop located under the front bumper, it has a slide and lock so when its raining out, I can lock off the air scoop and eliminate rain/water from getting sucked up in my motor and making it as usefull as a boulder

and the sheet sorry for the almost unreadable print out, the printer at the shop had something funky going on with the colored ink :dunno: :dunno:

so with my conserative tune of 14* the L made 444rwhp and 524tq :TY: :TY: :TY: Like I said we could have added to that with 2 more degrees of timing and I would have been right around 464hp and 548tq but that would have put me back with a quite agressive tune and I just didnt think ( as did my tuner ) that much timing was necessary. Baseline was with ONLY 12* and it did 424 hp and 500 tq.......then cool down period, and a second run with 14* and bingo I have my current numbers.

Same thing happend last time back in October, we started with 14* and then done a second pull with 2 more degrees ( my 16* degree tune ) and it gained 20rwhp and 20tq.

Strange thing is im still showing 17psi of boost, :dunno: :dunno: :dunno: Todd thought my upper pulley might be a aftermarket one so he checked the size but it turned out to be a stock upper. It seems im about 2-3 pounds of boost above what other L's have with the same mods.........go figure :blah2: :blah2:

Anyway im thrilled with the results of my new invested parts, and the L runs better than ever. Now im after some new JLP traction bars, and a set of of slicks and skinnies for the track and Ill have my first time slip.
