Reflector less corners prepped to be black also attempted to fix my drivers side exhaust leak
Header flange is bent so no bueno nor care just mean i have to hustle and build the 4 valve but recently Ive been working on these prepping them for life once again polished/painted barrel powdered or painted face and polished lips flush mount valve stems and some form of center cap
Need to decide on a color though...
I thought of doing the entire rim in a sunken treasure color that looks black untill the light hits it at an angle but knowing how much i like the white they'll probably get piwdercoated a matte whiteDid you ever think of continuing the white theme you have going on and doing white with a polished lip?
OR maybe a black gloss lip and satin bronze face?
Yup bought a helicoil kit but didnt like the idea being the motors really healthy just old so decided to fork out the hundreds and buy the kit. I'll post up how it goes I'm excited to have my car back ! In the instructions it says to use a metal bonding heat resistant material should i use red lock tite or another adhesive?I use an air hose black taped to a shop vacuum hose to get the big chips after useing the first tool, before installing the sert. Dont root in to much about the smaller shavings. When aluminum is that thin, that small, first compression evaporates it. Most of the chips are to big to slip between the piston and cylinder wall. In other words, timesert designed a great tool to keep the chips big. A bore scope is a great idea looking for other types of damages that may have happened. Timeserted 5.4l have ran years with not much thought about the aluminum shavings. They timsert it and then fire up! Even though the instructions were to evacuate the chips.
That spoiler is right at home on your car
Yup it says to use a "jb weld or other heat resisting material" it's to late tho heads already drilled and tapped need to clean the shavings the best i can borescope helps alot.Thats intresting. My kit came with threadsealer....like'ish something. Ill double check when at home.
