I think my exhaust may be hitting part of the brake line. The car has a MAC catback. I noticed yesterday that it was rattling very loud. You could defiantly tell that it was the exhaust. I took a peek last night under the car and noticed what looked like brake fluid on the rear axel and on the exhaust. It looks like there is a bracket or fitting that connects the rubber brake line from the right rear brake to the hard brake lines. It looks like the hard brake line screws into this thing. Is that right? I think the exhaust may have been hitting it and loosened it up. I guess my question is does the hard brake line just screw in? Anyone know the size? Just looking for some more insight before I jack up the car and try to take care of it

Well it looks crappier than I thought. I looks as if the exhaust was resting against the right rear brake line and melted a tiny hole in the metal line. Any ideas on how much I am looking at to get this repaired? I don't think this is something I can tackle.

probably very cheap, even with bleeding the brakes. It probably wouldn't be that hard, if you knew what you were doing. if i'm not mistaken, the brakelines are s/s until they reach the wheel well they they turn into a rubbery line. you would probably have to bleed all the brake fluid out of the brakes then unscrew the fitting on the abs module and then remove the other end from the rubber lines (are they clamped or what? idk.) then you just replicate the bends of the original piece by using a brake line bender tool. just change the bend near the part where it was scraping against the driveshaft lol

Hmmm...I'm no expert but leaking brake lines seems very bad. How do your brakes feel? I'm guessing pretty shitty as there is probably air in the lines and it's only going to get worse.
