did my upper and lower explorer intake swap, and threw in the 24lb injectors.....car runs ver nice but is just as slow if not slower..
Me and my buddy got bored so at like 10pm we got to work and at like 3am we were done and I was disappointed. I think its maby my timing because we didn't have a light but we got it to where it fires rite up , idles great, and runs pretty well, minus being so slow.and there are NO VAC leaks I checked and triple checked...when I pussyfoot it and it shifts into 2nd it just falls flat on its face unless im like 1/2 throttle atleast...Doesn't die or shutter or anything but just loss of power..and off the line, lol I couldn't get past a new escort on the on ramp, I just hope he was gunning it..
Only mods on engine are the blastercoil,70mm mafs,24lb injects and explorer upper and lower...:(

I hope it's just timing. Might be to much fuel too. try putting the 19's back in.
Your not getting a whole much more air to the cylinders because you still have the stock heads on it.

Definately check the timing and firing order as well.

You most likely lost a few ft lbs of torque down low and gained 5, maybe 10 HP in the 3500-4800 rpm range. You won't notice any huge improvement until you swap the heads out for at least GT40's or better. Just the way it is.

Woah, deja-vu. Almost like we already told him doing the H/C/I all at once would be a better idea....

not worried about it any more...car seemed to get its power going again after like 50 miles of driving and the cel came on for like 2min and went off....after that is when she started running great UNTILLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got home and I was gonna do a brake stand so I came to a complete stop and put it in regular drive and tried, well it didn't spin and just started to climb rpms so I stopped...and when I pulled away it didn't wanna go full throttle and now I have no reverse...im SOOOOOOOOOOOOO hoping this is gonna be a linkage related problem but I looked and don't see any..

Your tranny is ruined. It will need a full rebuild most likely. Not even playing.

If your cel came on something is a miss, as far as your trans I think you toasted it.

A broken tv cable equils about a 98% chance of a shot transmission. The check engine light came on because of a miss or possibly your maf is not calibrated to your injectors.

Good luck with swapping a t5 into the car......I have a feeling that in a week we will have another thread "Frankenstang does it yet again" I got a 99 cougar!
