So my coolant light is on..I have coolant..fans not kicking on. Does one of the sensors for the PI intake have something to do with this..? I havent let the car warm up to get hot enough to middle gauge, not sure where it gets to where the fan will kick on

left one from old intake goes into right side? the right side would be where I had to tap..by the waterneck, correct? So maybe I should just switch the sensors around?

Trying to understand this..bear with me
I went to swap the left sensor to the right side of the motor, by the waterneck..but the sensors are different..one sensor has a plastic piece that is offset, and the other sensor has a plastic piece that is centered..so the wiring plug wont fit over the sensor if I switch them..

Where the sensors screw in. Take that piece and unscrew it and switch it to the other side. If you still don't get what I'm saying, tomorrow (sometime), I'll snap some reference pics for you.

any luck aaron? Im still not seeing how the plugs can be reversable, as the plugs from the wiring harness have a plastic edge on them..one is offset, one is center..i may be interpreting this incorrectly.

I think something is getting lost in translation here. He is saying you could swap the plugs from one side to the other no problem. The issue is the harness will not plug into plugs if he switches them. My question would be could the wiring be routed differently to make the plugs reach the right connector on the harness? Maybe you routed the wiring differently when you put the intake on. Just a thought but what do I know I own a 5.slow

Wiring harness only goes one way..the wire looms on the left side of the motor and right side, and theres hardly and slack for the plug ins for the sensors...

One of these sensors turns the electric fan on..right?

which one..what is wrong here..

Ill take pics later if I have to

Yes, the wiring has to be re-routed. I promise, it's not as bad as it sounds. I have yet to get my camera back from a friend. I will definitely have it by tomorrow. Unfortunately, I won't be able to snap a pic till after I get home from school, which is about 12:45am.
