Oh yea, I don't mean that 10k is the norm for an SN95 car. But for certain cars like Jon's car, I can definitely see someone paying $10,000 or more for it when the springtime comes around. I also admit that I seem to have ridiculously good luck selling cars. Every car I sell seems to sell for about $2,000 more than I would ever pay for it.

ooo, that makes more sense lol

Man I hate selling cars, all you get are assholes, lowballers, flakers, and people that think it's ok to redline your shit on a test drive before they paid for it.

I didnt read all of the posts but if i was in your position i wouldnt jump ship on the sn95. Id irs swap and a built motor. still will come out less then buying the termi. Plus you wont loose all you have put into your car now.. At this point i wouldnt ever sell my car. why? It would be such a huge loss it wouldnt be worth it. If you absolutely are dead set on selling it, id suggest taking the rare parts off, like others have suggested but i would also buy oem seats to slap in there. then when you get the termi swap your cinamon seats in and sell the oem cobras for $800+.

JonBeast, hate see you sell the car but if you do make sure the owner knows that he has to join this site and keep us updated on the car lol. We can't be losing cars on this site. I have thought about selling mine for an 03 but I hate selling cars and I do love my 98.

Hi Jon, I'm new to this forum and just scanned through this thread. Honestly I think you are going to take a beating on the car when you try to sell it. My brother had a highly modified 90 LX a couple years back that he took a huge hit on because you will never find the perfect buyer for your car. For the 10k you are asking most would rather have a Cobra or 99-04 car. I think your car looks great but you never get that money back in resale. Truthfully your car would probably be worth more if it was stock. My LX had a fully built engine, 5 lug conversion w/ Brembo brake kit, cervini cowl induction hood... easily over 10k invested and lost it for 6k. Like others have mentioned it sucks to own a 1994-98 Mustang because most people prefer the 99-up cars. I personally like the look of a 96-98 Cobra more than my 03, but most are not like me. I have a good friend who has listed his Atlantic Blue (rare 1 year color) 1998 Cobra with only 35k original miles for sale for $12,000....his car has been on autotrader for over a year! His car is probably more desirable to most than yours.

I suggest that you part your car out, sell it piece by piece, it may take longer but you will get more money back. I for one would be interested in several parts, Dez Racing tuned my Cobra they do excellent work!

As far as those telling you about the problems with the 03-04 Cobras, don't listen to them. The IRS issue is highly overrated, once you own the Cobra mods are super-cheap. My cai alone gave me 30rwhp! The mods on my cobra are fairly minor and Dez tuned it Conservatively at about 440RWHP, 70RWHP over stock! Not sure how true it is but many claim that 04 model Cobras and Mach1s tend to dyno at more power...

Good luck with whatever you decide to do, but realistically I think 6-7k is the most you get and that's being very patient waiting for a buyer.

When do you plan on buying an 03 Cobra? I am seriously considering selling mine in the Spring so I can move on to a GT500. It only has 20k, maybe we can work something out since we happen to live in the same area (i'm 40min outside Boston) and I'd love to check out your GT before you sell it. Anyways good luck with the sale.

One thing that bugs me, dropping a bunch of money on a car and selling it. I have become really attached to your car. A few things you have done to your car i have done to mine because of how much your car has inspired me and they way you have done up the car. I think you should keep it. but i have thought about getting a new car. But the cars i'd up grade to would be

03 cobra
95 saleen 351w
03/04 mach
or a mystic cobra any year

Disconnected fuel line...then I broke a brake line on a huge gas station pot hole, both fixed now haha

I guess I'm just at the point where I either cut this car loose...or go completely balls deep on it. I think I would be happier starting over with an 04 comp.

darn JonBeast if i had the funds to spend this year i would be buying from you no questions asked. take payment plans im a broke mexican lol.

I'm hoping sometime in the spring...not too much action on my car yet, but its definitely not the car buying season..I just wanted to get the word out early. Unfortunately I'm looking for a white/sonic/comp cobra...not interested in any other colors but thanks man, that could have worked out perfectly haha

My opinion, I would wait until the time everybody gets their tax returns. That's the best time to sell. I wouldn't be surprised if you get between 8-10k for your car. It's very clean and has a lot of tasteful upgrades and rare mods. It's very clean and everything is already done. Turn key, looks sick, and dependable. Good luck on the sale.
