I pick up the car from getting tuned tomorrow. some might know i had some issues with the valvetrain. little too much noise, ended up being the pushrods on the exhaust side were a lil too short.

so heres the list..

Dart block 331 (8.95:1) 26* timing maybe a little less.
Twisted Wedge (box stock)
R intake 90mm opening 1in spacer
Accufab 90 mm tb
custom cam (for blower) Jay Allen
Comp Cams ultra gold rr 1.6
BBK pulleys
Custom 4in cai
24lbs inj/255 f pump
Ford racing shorties
Bassani catted x-pipe

think thats pretty much it?! ill post up results tomorrow night.

No specs on cam... only 24 lb. injectors with 90mm mass air and 90mm throttle body? Shorties on a built motor? 338 whp.

I doubt he will give specs since its custom. :dontknow: But i am sure it is blower friendly

cam card is mia since i moved (ill find it), but yea it was grinded for a blower. thats why the compression is so low. only using the 24s while im N/A. ill have to switch to 60s or bigger once the blower goes on. as for the shorties thats all i had and im going to try to get by emissions with it. :thefinger: yes it prolly wont pass, but i have to try. MPH did the tuning for me.

I thought about taking my car to MPH but just decided to go a little closer to the house. What blower are you goign to go with?

Kinda hard to speculate on a combination like this with no idea what the duration is on the cam. That throttle body and intake is overkill unless you've got an aggressive cam grind and lots of RPM.

It is unlikely you'll need larger than 60 lb injectors with the blower. Save your money on the huge injectors and injector driver and spend it elsewhere.

I'll throw a random number out, but this is pure uneducated speculation without cam specs.

prolly a T-trim for now. ive never driven anything over 250hp and my goal is around 800. big jump so im going to do it slowly and work my way up to that. i actually told him to take it easy and dont try to get a bunch out of it. id like to drive it and break in the motor before the blower goes on. i think redline is 8000.

this was just for fun guys dont take it so serious. this car will always be a street car first. i still have a bunch of parts to get til im there. i havent even decided on a tranny yet. tko 600 or t56?! :BangHead: its going into paint here shortly then ill do the tranny. i also have to get someone to build the rear end. like i said lots of stuff to do. we are also opening another store so i wont have the time i had before. so im excited about that project too.

Well considering my buddy just made 328 with a DSS 331 with pro ported GT40's and a AFM cam, I'm gonna guess and say 335.

T-Trim is a nice blower. I sold mine last year.

You won't spin 8000 rpms reliably in a streetcar without a solid roller cam, expensive lifters, and stout valvetrain.

Here's what happens when you try to turn that RPM with the requisite spring pressure to handle it with those rockers:

ouch. dont worry i prolly wont run it that high often. maybe a few times a year when i hit the track. even when i do its all taken care of! ;)

last post is the closest. i cant back it up tho cuz i paid/bs'd for a min and took off. so i have no graphs. completely forgot when i heard it outside. :p ill have to talk to jeff or tim about emailing it to me.

1st ill say the hour and half ride home was FUN!! thing is stupid loud. need to put my tailpipes back on. maybe. :laughing5: car goes sideways ez 1st-3rd!! its alot of fun! im very happy. Jeff was saying something about bringing the timing into the 30s. i might have to ask about that again cuz man its real nasty now.

anyways when i get a graph ill post it up so you guys can see exactly what it made and all that jazz. for now im just happy to be back into it. my green car feels like a turtle now.

yea for real. i asked the same question half way home. :tard:

i wasnt present when they tuned it. i just picked it up. i just pm'd one of them @ MPH, so i should prolly get it in an email.

how it went down.... im paying at the counter and i hear Jeff pull the car up. signed my name on the cc and walked out. said something about doing the tranny and jumped in. got on it and never looked back. then half way home thought about it. o well i guess i was so excited that my car was actually running.

im sure theyll send it to me. btw i cant say enough good things about their shop. Jeff, Rhonda, Tim all of them were super nice. really a great bunch of people. i will mos def bring my car back to them. prolly sooner than later. :)
