Well first of all Good job getting out and experiencing the sport. Next, its hard to tell ya what your car will run with out a list of modifications (power and weight) and from there we can try to help you. 60'times are key to this thing. If you can drop just .1 off your 60ft you generally will lose .2 on the big end. Don't be disappointed in the speed or times, this is a sport of driver and car ability as you get better your car will perform to its greatest possibility.

Yeah I'm not to sure what the power or weight of the car is. Also still running stock 2.73 gears and open diff. But I know what you mean about 60' my second run was much better because I figured out how I needed to work the clutch to stop the wheel spin. Definitely hoping to getting it back out on the track again soon

your car has got a 10th or two left in it.

i ran 16.6@83mph and a 2.3 60ft with my auto, CAI and true dual exhaust. stock 2.73's and open diff
I saw that in the 1/4 mile times thread, I figure that the car can run a solid 16.3. Next time I am out there I'm gonna run lower tire pressure cause I was running 35 psi. And I need to get used to launching on the track.

Damn I wish I had the money right now, I just bought the parts for my drop. I'll eventually get a t-lok and gears.

Tire PSI won't make a huge difference with street tires, thats more for DR's or true slicks

Ohh gotcha, thanks for the tip... I guess it's just gonna take some practice launching to get those 60' times down.

Yeah get that 60' time down, thats your biggest issue at the moment. Your going to need a good set of Drag Radials to improve upon that. Street tires at the track are garbage. And like Joe said dont bother messing with the PSI with street tires its pointless and don't do a burn out w/ them either. Street tires are the exact opposite of a Drag Radial or a slick. Street tires dont like to be heated up and dropping the PSI will make 0% difference.

Good to know... I was only doing a tiny burnout just to get all dirt from the end of the track off the tires

Its fine to clean the dirt and whatever off them but beyond that its not doing anything but hurting the 60'further

The whole run can be blown in the first 60 feet. The only other thing that will hurt a run that much is a mis shift, non issue for auto's though
