Front & Rear Main Seal Replacement Questions....

yea, i got that kit from HF too. lol.

keep in mind that you have yo keep the rotating assembly from turning when u TQ the HB bolt... you can install the clutch and tranny and leave it in gear + parking break, or fill your #1 cylinder with concrete, or well, those are the only two ways i really suggest. lol.

i vote for the concrete method. lol.

and also, keep in mind that the crank pulley bolt is TTY. it *should* be replaced with a new one as well. that being said, ive removed mine several times and am still using it. lol

that would be crazy-not too replace any thing like seals..if you have the engine out..engine seals and trans seals.if there are any.small thing now.major thing later..a friend of mind..lost a seal.in her.five speed.trans.it burnt up-before-she got too the side of the road

Its so funny this thread is here I was putting my motor together this past weekend and realized 1 i enver got a new front crank seal, and 2 I never ot a new front crank pully bolt.....30 bucks later I have new cam bolts, crank bolt and front crank seal...whoops.
