Just like the title says, should I do 3.73 gears or a dr.gas x pipe? I'm debating on which to do. I would like to do the gear install myself but idk how to calibrate them

if you want cheep: mid pipe.

they are easy to install yourself...

gears are cheep to buy, but without the experience its hard to put them in.

Gears, is the best bang for the buck but, as mentioned by chris you need to pay someone or know someone that can install them for you.

you will noticed a bigger difference than the mid pipe.

Well a buddy that I work with at auto zone said its fairly easy to do, hes got a lift and all this good stuff at his speed shop so he could probably help. I see this kit on american muscle that has a speed cal with the 3.73 gears and 3 quarts of gear oil. How do you use the speed cal to calibrate the gears?

Make sure you remember what gears your car has from factory, youll need to know in order to adjust your speedo correctly. just use the chart that AM have on their website.

well, in that case... lol.... :p also, for the 99+ its a little different than -98 with the speedo recal.... just saying. because the 98 and lower are mechanical and the 99 up are electronic.

Well i have a 2002 gt, im pretty sure they came with the 3.27's. But I know a guy who said he could put them in for 150 so im going to take it to him and get them done. I want to feel the kick not just the sound. The sound is nice but I would much rather feel it.
