Alright, well I'm getting rid of the catted aftermarket xpipe, for a off road xpipe. I was wondering what to do with the plug that plugs into the cats? I believe it's connected to the smog pump?

Can you just unplug the hose at each side without having to get a smog pump eliminator? Or will it hurt the engine just unhooking the tube at both ends?

why? KB has done multiple tests on 700+ HP mustangs with 0 HP gains on the dyno by removing cats.

i read an import magazine and they removed OEM cats off a turbo honda civic and got 10HP... they put high-flow cat on it and lost 1 HP... so a high flow cat gained them 9 HP over OEM cat...

honestly i dont think 0-1 HP is worth the $$ on switching pipes...

I didn't like the sound. It's was really quiet below 4k with bbk equal length headers, bassani xpipe, and pypes violator catback.
