I agree with everything you just said except the gasket matching. The key to a good port job is port matching. Which is basically in essence like gasket matching except their matching port for port against each other and making sure they don't open the ports up too much.ScottyDsntKnow said:You can run 12s on untouched gt40s/stock cam/untouched gt40 intake. Too many ppl knock on the irons. They're a GREAT budget setup that makes more power than ppl think. I DO believe that getting full blown porting/polishing jobs on GT40 heads is a waste but if you just get a valve job, the egr bumps smoothed out and a gasket match they're great.
