guage cluster question

can anyone tell me if a 96-98 gt cluster will work on a 94-95 , and if so say my car has a 1/4 tank of gas and the car im getting it from has 3/4 a tank will the guages have to be recalibrated im not worried about the odometer mine hasn't worked for 2 years but my speedo is only
working sometimes

96-98 wont work in 94-95.. a buddy of mine took my 96 cluster and tried it in his 95 and didnt work right.. i dont remember exactly what didnt work on it but i believe its the plugs itself are different but not sure

i cant remember if its the cluster or the plugs, but have different pins on the back

what about the recalibration do you have to do that or if there functional they should work ?

when i swapped my cobra cluster all i had to do was make sure the fuel needled was at the same level as my stock cluster....
