Here it is, in all it's wonderful glory, lol. It's been through like 15 high school kids, so that pretty much explains it.

what am i looking for in the last pic?

The TB is missing a bolt you can see, and another one you can't. Plus every vacuum line off the TB is plugged. I found the BOV, it was in the trunk. The kid though it was the EGR when he took it off and blocked it with that piece of cardboard. :wall:

Is that bolts holding the carboard on?? lmao

Yep :hammer: Nice touch since now I don't have to hunt for some to put the BOV back on. You guy's think I could use copper RTV on it? It shouldn't be very hot past the intercooler I'm thinking.

the tb lines are common..

At least one of the is supposed to go to the fuel presure thingy, which explains the super hard starts I'm having.

how can someone let their car get like that??

A year ago it was nice, find old pics on the local forum. Guy that owned it died, drownedright after sliding in a new motor and trans from Buschur racing. His lil brother got it, thought it was a rocket, slammed it into a telephone pole. Tried to pull the dent, made it worse, gave it up and sold it. Next kid pulled the interior out, and started havfe ilding problems, messed with a bunch of the sensors and vacuum lines until it wouldn't run at all, gfave up and sold it. Next kid decided to start blocking everything off, including the "EGR" lol, he gave up after two weeks and traded for somethign, now I got the car.

So far all I've done is look at it with a critical eye, hook up the sensors, repair the wires and hose when I can figure out where they go. It will start, run, hold an idle, everything works again. Still not great, but I mean damn, one lazy afternoon was all it took me, what the hell is wrong with kids today?

yeah FPR, Boost safety switch/ BPV, and most use one for an aftermarket boost gauge. it looks like it would have good potential in the engine. new head, so I will assume broken Timing belt..have you driven it? and vibrations from the balance shaft belt beoing 180 off or broken? Check the oil filter, they work loose because of the antifreeze/oil cooling ring...too tight and crushed ring and antifreeze leak.

I posted this already once, but I dont think it went through. 3 years ago I was looking for another DSM, and I found one that looked IDENTICAL to that one, but in better shape. It was in Toledo though? I drove all he way there just to not get it. I couldnt get it on the trailer because the viscous coupler was blown out, and he wouldnt drop the price....would that be weird if it was the same car?
