I am looking into buying full length/long tube headers for my 95 mustang cobra. I am on a budget and I would either buy these

Would it be possible to put the egr off of a shorty header onto the summit headers once I purchased them? Just a random thought I had and I think it would be pretty cool if it worked. how woukd i delete my egr if i had to w/o throwuing a check engine light

they look like they also need O2 sensor provision and you would need to cut off the flanges and re weld the ball and socket set up (or cut the mid pipe ball socket and re weld a flange on it). And yes you can cut off the egr bung and re weld it to the new headers.

heres the first issue... they are meant for fox bodies. so right off the bat, you have to delete our EGR.



in this picture, you can see how the #8 primary wraps around the OUTSIDE of the header... this causes extremely bad steering shaft clearance issues because the shaft goes THROUGH the header...

Do yourself a favor and dont cheap out on your headers. Buy them for your car, by a reputable company. BBK, MAC, etc.
also, the mid pipe that they sell for those headers, wont fit the SN it hits the trans crossmember and cannot merely be "adjusted" to fit.

also, the 3 bolt flanges.. leak like fuck!
