Hi all.

a few questions for ya.

I installed some aftermarket headlights. i love them an' all... but the corner lights and headlights dont sit flush against eachother. *The headlight portion sits about 3/4" (which is ALOT) more FORWARD than the corner lights* The gaps between the corners and headlights are very acceptable, better than stock even. But the fact taht the headlight doesnt sit flush with the corner light boggles my mind.

As far as I know i installed them correctly. I dont know how much more direct 3 screws can be... lol. anyways, do you guys ahve any suggestions? I tried pushing the light further back, but taht didnt help at all....

Also, the HIDs are in and work great, but when i turn them on they make a POP sound. is this normal?

Thanks all,
Chris

You'll have to remove each light housing, adjust/screw the 3 black plastic mounts 3/4" closer to the headlight housing on the aiming screws and put the housings back in place to check your results. May take a few repeats. Then reinstall permanently, fine tune & re-aim the housings in place.

When I installed my Cobra housings, I measured the distance from the old OEM housings to each plastic mount on each one in millimeters. I then put the OEM plastic mounts on the new housings screws and adjusted them to the same measurement. (If you look close there are small raised areas on the OEM mounts that make the housings fit tight in the car, no headlight "jiggle" at night like aftermarket housings) After doing this, the final aiming operation was very simple.

You wouldn't by chance still have the OEM housings would you??

GT, i do still have the OEM 4 piece housings. all 4 are cracked in some way or another, but if you want them as decoration or something, they are all yours amigo.

And thats what i did... i was just stupid about it... i looked at how much THREAD was showing and tried to copy the threads.... the second time i held the OEM to the aftermarket and placed the "clips" instead of worring about threads. lol. came out much better... took me about 2 hours (im anal like that) and they are 100% now :-D

Thanks for helping me out GT.

Your welcome. Na, don't want the old ones. For your measurement only.
I took a hammer to my yellowed OEM's just for the hell of it. They shatter nicely!

You can send me your export taillight housings though. They look crappy. Hehe.
