Heads and Cam combo

looking to replace my heads and my cam on a 95 gt...car has just over a 100k with these mods...93 cobra intake, msd ignition, bbk shorty headers, bbk hpipe no cats, flowmaster catback, underdrive pullies, 65mm TB, aeromotive fuel pressure regulator, t-rex fuel pump, k&n intake...im looking at gt40 heads and the comp cam xe....im on a budget since i have two other cars im working on..but since my head shot out a few spark plugs its time to replace the heads and while im at it replace the cam also....what do you recommend, would like to get atleast 300hp to the flywheel if possible...

Just snag up some Ported GT40's or with the BBK headers i think you can run p's and be fine also. There are some other things you will want to combine with the little upgrades your doing. If you look at my Build Thread it seems like that is what your after. I'm not worried about HP i'm going after 1/4 mile :) Shooting for Mid 12's

thanks man, how much difference between the P and regualr gt40s?? i thought there was spark plug clearance issue with the P heads?? ..

There would be if you didn't get the right headers but if i'm not mistaken the BBK shorty's should be fine. I have BBK longtubes awaiting install and i had a set of P heads before but sold them and they were going to work just fine.

are there and previous post on how to do a head a cam swap?? anything like a guide i can go by??

delaware? When did ya move? Don't you have emmissions there?

I think I would recomend going back to the stock pullies if you do the heads/cam to ensure they are all cooled ok.

Yeah I've always lived in Delaware ... I just took it thru emissions last month passed flying colors ...
