Hey im contemplating on buying some fr500 style wheels and am thinking of 17x9 up front and 17x10.5 in the rear.
My question is will the 10.5 fit on my car and what size tire would be better. 315 or 305 and would the tire rub on my fender?

Lol, they don't turn. But you will need to either flip your quad shocks or ditch them.

They won't hit the fender's, they'll hit the quad shocks, take them off or flip them.

It's not bad, you don't need them, and to flip them, you just take them off the outside and put them on the inside. I guess you could roll the fender lip and run spacer's, but that is alot of effort for no gain.

Quad shocks are also what's refered to as a "kicker" shock, you'll see them on 4x4's owned by people stuck in the 80's sometimes too. Their purpose is to stop wheelhop, but they don't. Almost everyone with aftermarket lower control arms pulls them off, no ill effect's from it.

You're not dragracing or launching hard on slicks are you?

Get rid of the quad shocks, and when funds allow, pick up a pair of Maximum Motorsports lower control arms. You can get them pretty cheap from stangsuspensions.com

Their not bad, the MM ones will run you about 230 for the standard set, I think about 450 for adjustables that allow you to set ride height.

I just moved back to Cleveland from Southern California, it's overrated. At least we get time off to work on the cars!

haha thats true, and that fact its never driven keeps it in mint shape, but Im not a fan of snow anymore. I heard MM makes some entire package box deals? any of them any good or is it better to piece it together yourself kinda thing?

They do, the sport box for like 1400 has everything a normal driver looking for great handling could want in it, and then the road and track box is about the best out there, short of a full race set-up. If you go to stangsuspensions.com they have the MM box's and a few of their own set up's that look pretty good and cut a little cost out so you can do it in stages.
