Ok so the story goes, my buddy bought this car with a drag setup on it. He bought some slightly used lowering springs off CL from a guy who said they were 1.5-2". I put them on for him an told him I thought they were a little more than that. I buy the car from him and little while later we get in a stock 98 GT vert (which theoretically should be lower from the extra weight, right?) in the shop and I measure to see HOW much lower it is. They're 2.75" in the front and 3" in the rear with the isolators still in. Question is, I keep hearing everyone saying H&R SS springs are about the lowest you can go and everything online I see says 2.5". Even if they were, they're blue. The ones on my car are red but no "Eibach" on them. I'll look later to see if they have a part number on them, just curious if anyone had any ideas off the top of their head.

I am willing to be they are h&r springs as they usually use blue. Eibach uses red (sportline) and black (pro). Those are the ones I know of, I am not sure what the ford lowering springs are.

2.5" is alot for H&R's with isos still in. I've only heard of Tein making that big of a drop in a lowering springs unless you get some off ebay.

Looked up Teins and they're green, so it looks like they're some eBay cheapies. Surprisingly they actually don't ride too bad.
