Prior owner installed coilovers in the front of my 02 and I haven't messed with it. looked today and it still has stock shocks with the front being considerably lower. Any idea what shock would work better and ride better?

Springs don't matter. Who makes the actual coilover kit (the sleeve with threads & spring perch)..?

If you could post a picture that would help. That way we can identify it and tell you what struts are compatible.

No idea as the prior owner did it. Without taking the wheel off all you can see is a silver coil spring that says eibach and a blue sleeve. Shock says motorcraft so I figured any shock was compatible if the stock one fit. I've never bought shocks for coilovers though.

Since it's blue, i'm assuming it's either UPR or Steeda.

Most shocks are compatible with those kits with the exception of Bilsteins.
Some Tokico HPs or Strange 10-ways will give it a much nice ride.

Is there something wrong with way it rides? Are you wanting to correct the raked look?

If it's not broke don't fix it....but like ferocious said...you should be good to go with most shocks.

Rides like shit and seems to be worse lately. Figured changing shocks were worth a shot since I have no idea how old they are and figured I'd try to find out what to look for that is designed for a lowered car like mine.

That's normal for a lowered car. Most of them ride like poo.

Stock struts are definitely not what you want under the load of a hypercoil spring.

Does the car have camber plates?

Yes it does.
I know they don't ride great but it feels worse here lately.

Def in need of some good shocks. Does it have an "after bounce" after big bumps in the rear? I'd try to get the Eibach Shocks that go with the kit for sure.

Do your rear coils look like this?

Rear is a stock type drag setup. Had stock setup when I bought it.
Car rides so rough now that my cd player skips when I go across stop strips.

Have you though about ditching the coil overs up front and going with a 2" drop spring like H&R with some KYB Shocks and Struts. H&R's will give you a much better ride quality since they have a progressive spring rate. They were made for comfort, drivability and superior handling.

I'm not against it at all but I don't know what I need to swap back over to stock type springs with tubular A arms.

Like I said earlier. . You have upr coil over kit.. just get a nice set of struts.. no point in going back to stock style suspension.
