1 of the ballast was bad! He swapped out the ballasts to make sure it was that. It was! He said it was pretty much a plug & play. The hardest part was hiding the wiring. They are sending a new one my way. He did say it was pretty bright though! I bought 4300's. It says 4500 on the box. I hope to get pics up ASAP.

Oh, my buddy rented a fender roller today! We got mine and his '03 Cobra rolled today. It was a lot of work for what it did! My mechanic said too much! The sides on both cars did very well! The top part, not so much on both cars! His was easier because it is a 6 speed! Mine took a lot of effort to turn!

I'll post before/after pics on my lights when I get them on!

Re: Was having my HIDs put on...

I got the new ballast and got it hooked up! Now the bulb seems to be acting up! It looks to be stuck in the high beams. When I pull up to a store front/windows, where I can see them better I mean. The bad bulb is never @ the strength of the good bulb. It is less in the low beams & the high beams! I talked to the tech dude who I bought them from! He is thinking it is the relay and not the bulb. They are sending that to me. The seller I bought them from has been just great though! I am 1 of the luckiest guys alive! Too bad it's all the bad kind though! It's just who it came to, not the seller's fault. I'm trying to get you come pics up!

Re: Was having my HIDs put on...

I'm finally getting what I needed from the start! A new bulb! I was talking with their tech guy who said it had to be the relay that was messing it up. I got the new relay today and took it to be hooked up. Still bad! I had the guy who's putting them on call them. They finally will be sending me a new bulb. They are still super nice and stuff though! It has taken a little longer, but I'm just waiting on that bulb.

The bulb is supposed to push in and out. That's what makes it in low or high beams. The bad one will not press in! The correct one will.

Which headlights do you have. If you have the stock ones do you notice any problems with scatter from the way our stock headlights are????

Re: Was having my HIDs put on...

I'm trying to get it so I can take pics! I'm still waiting on that 1 bulb.

Are you wondering about my old lights or my new HIDs? I'll give both.
I had the Sylvania whatevers. They are the very 1st model. I knew I was going to buy the HIDs at some point, so why throw away $ to upgrade! I had my pass side go out, so I had a 'get by' bulb in that came with my BOI smoked lights. That thing really sucked!
I now have 4300 HIDs. That's what I bid on. The box said 4500 though. Close enough!

I do not know what 'scatter' means, sorry!

So far, the driver's side shines up pretty good though! I never drive @ night, so this is in case I have to!

Now the replacement bulb is delivered, just not to me though! They sent me the USPS link that says it got to me on the 14th. I'm asking them what do I now do.

Re: HIDs on. 1st time @ night!!!!!

OK, maybe I cannot remember how they looked before! It was nothing like it is now though! All this out of just my driver's side working properly, too! I pulled up to a window front store just now. My dr side switches to brights correctly. Let me think of how to say what the bad/pass side does! Say just turned on, they are a 2. When I switch to high beams, instead of going to a 3, they go to a 1. Boy, that's the best I can explain it.
I've got before pics of it saved. I will take after shots when, and if, I get that other bulb. No comparison!!

OK, maybe this was my best mod!! By far the smartest & the safest!!!!!!!

I personally bought an $80 kit and works just fine, i believe isnt all about what you pay, but quality and installation.

So the more you pay the best? :dunno:

I just got a faulty bulb! That's just my terrible luck though! It is can end in a terrible way, it does with everything I am part of! I'm already looking to the same setup from them for a 94 GT friend's car! No knocks on the seller though! They have been great!!!

The kit cost me $113, but who's counting! It was referred my nastytime, I think.

It looks blue while shining on the road! It's not, it's just different! Is this because it is a different light than the halogens?
