Trying to piece together a h/c/i combo. Say I just go for the TFS top end kit, with some longtubes, and supporting mods, will raising my compression ratio to 10.5 make a difference in hp?

If you have high miles new heads with higher compression could also mean blowby. Your rings will be the weak link.

Each point of compression is worth about 4% horsepower... ballpark.

Do you guys know if i'll still be able to run pump gas with 10.5? keep in mind we only have up to 91 Octane here in cali. Or should I go with 10.0?

I will be running a set of TW heads, stock tranny, with 3.73 gears...if that helps

you can go as high as 11:1 if you want on pump.. just think, the new 5.0's are almost 11:1 stock..... most of the ls motors are 10:1 stock..

With the timing bumped you will have to run higher octane ( 91 ) and does not make much sense to run H/C/I set up and keep the stock timing

ohh the 11's are so steetable. you can even run 91 octane with a slight bit of timing pulled.
