Actually, the kit I have also comes in a 500 shot and a 1,000 shot. I feel I'm being fairly conservative only shooting the 300. :angel:

Since the rebuild, my motor could probably handle the 1,000 shot . . . on a progressive controller, of course.

The car isn't driven on the street anymore . . .
Well . . . here's the deal. To my knowledge, the fastest convertible ever was an LX driven by a guy named Jason Betwarda and it ran low 7s. Ironically, Jason was killed while testing a coupe (everyone thought the convertible would kill him).
In order to "safely" hold the record for the fastest vert, I probably need to get the car into the 6s . . which is a tall order that won't be accomplished without a LOT of work . . and probably not on the current motor.
But . . it's something to shoot for. :boink:

Currently, I think Lou Proto has the fastest convertible Mustang, running low 7.60's coincidentally enough with nitrous on a big Windsor. The fastest convertible that I've ever heard of is a guy that runs in NMCA Super Street with a T/A convertible, he runs a ProCharger and has been 7.30's on 33x10.5W's.
Just gun for those two.
