can you elaborate jr?
Yes, i can, but today I'm going to teach you some grammar.

Auto's only have a non-lubed bronze bushing on the output.

GDTrumbo said:Here is a good rule-of-thum with gears:
automatic trans w/ a 3.73:1 ratio is about = a manual trans w/ a 4.10:1 ratio axle.
An automatic does not need as low a ratio as a manual to get the same effect.
This might sound crazy but auto's actually have as many as 12 ratios in each gear range.
Hence the name "gear range".
Question is: How much top end do you want?
Can your engine pull a 3.27:1 gearset to 150 mph? Or is it a bit weaker and need a 3.55:1 set?
Can you go faster in 4th than 5th?
MY 2 cents. GT

uh WTF are you talking about?
an auto 4r70w needs like 4.10s to even have the same multiplication as a t5 with stock 3.27s in first gear.
t45 has a 3.37 first gear, 1.99 second gear, 1.33 third gear compared to
4r70ws 2.84 first gear, 1.56 second gear, 1.0 third gear
the auto needs quite a bit more gear to compensate.
