I think we are all being all too optimistic lol. In general, nobody gives two hoots about the 94-98 mustangs. Hence hardly anyone has modded ones. Everyone thinks the S197 is the king of mustangs; and boy do I wish to run one sometime soon in my bolt on 97 Cobra. Although, since I do have a Cobra I get more attention than when I'm in the GT lol. Just yesterday on my way to get my windows tinted a dude in a new vert 5.0 gave me a thumbs up. Dude kept looking over.

People love my car...ive even had many of random import guys, chevy guys, etc say they dont usually like mustang but love mine.

I guess being slammed on cool wheels with a bad ass color helps.

Most people dont give 2 shits about a 94-98 mustang but people notice cleanly modified cars, trust me.

I don't usually like mustangs, but I love yours Justin! lol. Yeah your car is nice and I could see it getting Peter North loads of attention. The front clip, the paint color, the wheels it makes for a sexy sn95. Although I think I liked your wheels in crhome better. Oh and not to mention your build.

Mine needs such a build :( there are a few Vortechs for sale (1 locally) and a 1.5KB that I am considering. I just don't want to blow my motor up as I won't have sufficient funds to fix it later on I am sure. (college student lol). So thinking ahead bolt ons and a 100 shot might be the way to go.

Lol yea, ive had so many wheels on my car, its funny, I swear everyone has a different favorite though.

Some like the 18 inch 03 cobras, some love the black fr500s, some love the chrome fr500s, some love the greg welds, etc etc.

The problem with building these things is you need to have the money to fix it when it breaks so unless you have 5k sitting in savings, I wouldnt do it. I learned the hard way.

Im still a college student as well...just worked my ass off to have the money to put the blower on the car and build the trans after it broke then put a motor in haha. Made me broke for a while when it was all said and done but im good now.

Just put one of each wheel on each corner? lol Yeah all those wheels looked great on your car. I think that shade of blue is just screaming for chrome wheels though. I loved the greg welds on there!

I agree. That's my main concern; breaking something and not having the funds to fix it. That would mean a lot of downtime for my car and I definitely don't want that. You gotta learn some how though eh? It sucks to learn the expensive way haha. Been there done that on suspension haha.

Really? I always thought you were a graduate with a nice degree and career lol. You pull off the sucessful tone haha. Well doing what you have done to your car, you must work damn hard to achieve all that.

I'm unsure on which direction to go. Honestly, I don't need nor really want 400 horses. My goal has been 12's. Bolt ons, 4.10's, rear seat delete, DR' and some good driving should be enough for high 12's no problem. I have all the above minus the good driving lol. Might be better for me to go for the long tubes and short runner intake mod for consistent 12's.

Ya i think 1 wheel at each corner is what's up! I may go back to polished eventually. But exactly I've learned all I know just by jumping in and doin it. I am a graduate but I'm self employed ans run my own business.....its OK cause i bet I make 3 times what any newly employed grad makes this year. :)

Truthfully you can get to that goal with bolt ons and some good driving with that 4v I bet

I'm going to add my 2 cents. I've owned mine for almost 7 years now and got a boat load of comments. A lot of people ask, what year is it because its very hard to pin point what year it is if you do tasteful mods like upgrade the headlights. When I tell them the year they drop their jaws and are in shock. At the gas station everyone tells me a classic, and I do believe this model will sought after. In the performance realm, this car gets no love but this is the perfect setting to be a sleeper which i'm perfectly fine with. Let the whole world think its slow because it gets many races on the streets unwanted, and wanted.

So I have the input from a non-car guy on this:

Today at work I was told "Mustang guys are 99% the same. They all have fancy wheels, some type of spoiler, loud obnoxious exhaust and think they're race cars. They are just the American version of those low-rider Hondas with loud mufflers trying to race anything that moves."

Justin: Do it and be the first :x lol. Polished or chrome equals win! Damn I knew I could smell success lol. Good for you man I hope to do something similar one day, I don't ask for much.

Yeah it can be done, the 4v will run 12's with gears and bolt ons. Knuckles ran that with the same combo I have right now :) I gotta work on my driving though, it's very amateurlike.

I think non-car people just think pre-'94 Mustangs (sans classics) are just old boxy '80s junk, and probably have absolutely no idea how we could find a Fox to look aggressive/mean/sexy. In fact, most of those people probably wouldn't even believe that a Fox is actually a Mustang.

Up here I virtually never see any SN95 GTs, and when I do they are in pretty rough shape. I see lots of ratted out New Edge cars, but as usual 99% of the Mustangs I see on the road are just base V6 models (no offense to those here who have pretty nice ones) which I don't even turn to look at. I very rarely get any props or looks from anyone in a Mustang, be it a New Edge or S197.

The '05-'09 guys remind me a lot of the fourth gen Camaro guys; they were always way too cool to look at the thirdgen Camaro guys since they thought their shit didn't stink, now that the 5th gen is out that wipes its ass with fourth gens, the fourth gens are now the odd shitbox out...nice motor but not nice enough compared to what's out today, surrounded by pure GM garbage with the gaudiest interior and horrible plastic styling that never once looked like a Camaro. At least the thirds have timeless styling to make up for the lack of performance. The '05'-'09 Mustang guys are finding themselves in that boat now; they were too cool for the SN guys, but now their '05-'09 looks like ass compared to the 2010+, and the motor is a boat anchor compared to the 5.0. As history goes on, the '05-'09 Mustang will be just as forgotten as the SN, if not probably more so since there's very little reason to want an '05-'09 over an '11+. At least with an aero SN or New Edge, there were never really big design changes within each sub body style, so people either want one from any of the years, or they don't...few people will say, "Ewww, I don't want an '02 GT, it has to be an '03+."

This is what that guy was thinking....

I'm a big fan of all american cars, tomorow I'm going on US car meeting and those meets are greater feast in my head than christmas ;)

yeah, I need new nickname, IMPORTHATER lool

Lol, all American cars ARE imports in your country, Mark Importhater... ;-)

Here in Holland people don't know much about Mustangs (except maybe the early ones) so I get a lot of people thinking it's a new one. Headlights and rims go a long way. Especially with the BAB paint it looks brand new.

However, people that do know a bit about Mustangs think of the SN95 as the new Mustang II: a Mustang that doesn't really deserve the name Mustang. That's because of the "soft" bodylines (not agressive enough) and because we mostly have V6 and almost no modified (fast) SN95s.

I'm pretty sure car fashion will change in the near future, our soft bodystyle will be more popular and the common 05-09 model will just be a boxy outdated Mustang.
