how dumb would this look? Photochop help please?

I decided to get some headlight covers just for shits-n-giggles. I am planning on taking them off when I drive at night which got me to thinking what they might look like if they were painted the same color as the body? I even considered masking off a simple GT or MUSTANG logo, painting over them and removing them so that they stay smoked and might even light up with the lights on and just look black with them off. Dumb idea? Can one of the photochop ninjas give me an idea what the solid color might look like? Here are pics of my car

Here is how my drag racing lights are painted to match,just with a velocity stack in the pass headlight for the turbo intake..
I'll get pics when I get to my buddy's to grab em..

yea see that looks cool and what I kinda thought it would look like on my 94. The thought of how it would look on the 94s would remind me more of the firebirds of the same year with the ws6 hoods and make the two piece lights that, lets be honest, we all kinda hate look like one smooth piece.

well hell I know that no matter what I do to MY car that somewhere, sometime, somehow, there will be a hater.... Always is! Just not sure how I would like it and wondering if anyone could chop it to give us an idea.

Not hating, it's just not my thing. People do not understand the use of the word lol. I think it looks really sick on those full on track mustangs you see with the wings and all but not sure on the street cars. I hate how the headlight and tail light covers look. But who knows give it a try and let us see it. If you like it than who gives a #$%@.

There was an STi (subaru) at the big meet here that had cut out the STi stamp on his fog lights and put some fog lights in and the cut out obviously read STi which I thought was cool. Is that like the same principle you are going for? But obviously not cutting out headlights just painting the design?

i dont think knuckles is a hater really. dude its your car, your ideas, your $$. if i was doing a track car i would delete the headlights and use plastic covers painted to match maybe. street car idk.....

I say it jokingly its not like I have a grudge about it but ahhh what would you call it when you have an idea and someone else is aginst it? Everyone is entitled to their opinions when it comes to my car though your opinion could be wrong and make you a hater... seriously no biggie don't blow it up I mean I did ask if it was a dumb idea I understand... Also why I want to see it chopped.

The lit up symbol - yea I think if I painted the rest of it and then just peeled off the mask it would leave that part smoked but still still able to pass light. Maybe the cursive GT logo or if it isn't over kill the pony logo lit up alongside the grills emblem might be interesting if it isn't too gay... Hell half the time I have people think the car is black anyway so I am not sure they would stick out that much in either color honestly.

Just thinking/dreaming of what might be or could be. I have the 281 spoiler I am about to get painted and with that and dropping it with the air-ride I think it might look pretty cool, again if it isn't too gay....

i was thinking about that to. i want a white saleen new edge body style with white headlight covers. i figured that would look good. i mean black with tinted headlights looks good and on some white cars the chrome headlghts blend in with the body so it wouldnt be to different

Well you kind of asked if it was dumb or not lol. I see what you mean, been there. My mach1 buddies said I'd be a ricer if I lowered my car to where you can only fit 1 finger between the fender and tire. SMH lol

Anyways feel free to try it out, it might turn out alright. Is it possible to try with plasti dip just so you get an idea? That way you can see it right in front of you. A running horse logo might be too much though.
