1994 gt convertible. Bought cheapo JDM 1 1/2" lowering springs front and rear. Rent got new struts and ball joints while I was in there as well. Front lowered the 1 1/2" but the rear only lowered 1/2". I'm assuming it's because the rear doesn't have the weight that the front does?? How long before the rear starts to settle?

did you make sure both pig tails in the rear were pointing towards the drivers side when installed?

Yes sir. Installed just like the factory ones. Both pointed towards drivers side.

It won't settle enough to make up that much of a difference. Take out the isolators from the rear if you haven't already.

It may give you 1/4-1/2 an inch IIRC. I've never heard a peep out of my springs with no isolators.

Should I cut a half a coil off of these as well or will that hurt it?

I'd remove the isolators and drive it a few times and then decide. But no, cutting 1/2 a coil won't hurt anything at all.
