I haven't really kept very close records on what all I've spent on the red cobra, but this is a rough estimate:

Red Cobra
-----------------------
Car: $12,000
Wheels/Tires: $1400
Pioneer Deck & Harnesses: $500
Double Din Conversion: $100
01+ Center Console: $150
Misc Engine Dress Up: $400-ish
Misc Interior Pieces: $150-ish
New headlights, fogs and bezels: $300-ish
-------------------------------
Total Red Cobra: $15,000 (Ballpark)

Now, with my white cobra project car, I've kept meticulous records.
The total spent is bound to increase once the project is resumed in the spring and I start working on it again.
But here's what I've spent so far:

White Cobra
-----------------------
Car Purchase Price $4,000.00
Transportation Costs $750.00
Left Revised "C" Head + Tax $1,712.00
Left Cylinder Head Core $150.00
Right Revised "C" Head + Tax $1,551.50
Right Cylinder Head Core $150.00
Export Syle Tail Lamps L & R $500.00
Cobra R HVAC Controls $30.00
Double DIN Radio Bezel w/ Buttons $105.49
Gauge Cluster Bezel w/o Defrost $25.00
Teksid Block $300.00
Shifter Bezel w/o Trac Ctrl Button $35.00
NEW (0 miles) Complete 01 Cobra Intake $550.00
-------------------------------
Total White Cobra: $9858.99 (Actual)

Car: $560Wheels and tires: $500Cobra seats: $300Full exhaust: $500Engine rebuild: $2100Still haven't totalled up receipts on all the new parts after the rebuild but I would put it close to 1K (including wiring harness, injectors, all new sensors, radiator, alternator, etc. etc. etc.) Kinda upsetting that I spent so much money on a car when my real passion is my old F-150 but I plan on getting back on it as next years project!

The car was 2000 dollars

wheels-$300
springs-$200
shocks-$360
8.8 rear end, moser forged axles, gears installed, ford racing 11.65 disc brake swap- $800ish
13 inch Cobra brakes, hawk pads, power slot rotors- $550
Hood, L&R fenders, front bumper, spoilerless trunk lid- $250
Paint- $2000
Tires- $550

There is a lot of other stuff I can't remember at the moment buuuut the total plus the purchase price of the car is like 11,000 or so.. You have no idea how much it sucks to have that much in a old v6 Mustang with 200k miles.. and thats why I don't like to think about how much I've spent on my car hahah

Whenever I buck up and buy the seats, the coil overs, the IRS, the turbo, and the fuel system I want, I will have the equivalent of a small Indonesian village invested.

I've always profited.... I am currently in the black big time....

my 94 I was only 3800 dollars in it.... That had full suspension and a 347
then I traded it off for a fully restored 66
traded that for a 1 of 1 98 SS Camaro
mikey got that and I got his truck and a SC
sold the truck and SC for almost 9 g
bought a 97 Gt for 2200 bucks put 300 in it.
Traded it for a 95 GT ( current car) and got cash from him also...

so yeah I'm still in the black :)

27 for the car in 1998 and 13 in parts. Out of that I never even rebuilt the motor. Now it's got 46k on the odometer and going closer to stock. Just want to drive the hell out it now. it was a garage and track whore it's whole life.

I could have bought a rental property with the time and money I spent. Right about now it would be paid off. lol
