This summer I put the gt40 package on my car with a light cam (if you need specs I can get them). But it studders.. A lot. The weird part is the stuttering can be worse, not there, or lightly. Anyone have any suggestions? It's getting really annoying. It can go away when I romp it, but it Boggs down for a bit then just unleashes like some one flipped a switch? And other times it will do nothing? It does better on premium.

What is your timing set at? Have you checked your dist for water condensation? or a coolant leak around your thermo housing?

it should be at stock timing. I'll ask the mechanic sometime. Where would I check dist for cond? No leak around thermo.

Ignition coil.
When a coil gets old the insulation around the windings used to increase the voltage starts to break down causing internal shorting. which gives you a missfire or no fire at all.

Your haynes manual can tell you how to do it.
You can get a new one for less than $40

Re: I have been studdering..(Update 1/4)

Update: I have not tried the coil. But I have a new development. I started my car this morning and let it warm up for a few min. I left the heat off to see what would happen. I started to drive the car and it drove perfect. So about half where to where I was headed I thought I would see what happens if I cut the heat back on. Studdering is back. What would cause this?

Take it off and spray carb cleaner in it to get all the carbon build up out. It works sometimes, But most of the time you have to buy a new one. Rockauto.com sells them for a good price.

Is it only the heater or was it the whole fan and AC system?

Idk win. Its like 40 here and I clicked on the heat and it started stuttering bad. I did feel it very lightly before I clicked on though.
