^ Where do you have your shoulder harnesses bolted into?

Looks like a 3 mount. The 2 into 1 looks like it runs back to the rear seat belt upper. Look at the picture.

Didn't even notice that lol thanks. Isn't there some spec or something about the angle that the harness has to come off of the seat? or am I just making that up?

Well if you consider being thrown into a forward motion from a front end collision, your body is thrown forward suddenly, on a horizontal plane. So then you consider the two options of mounting. In a more vertical plane mounted the same height as the drivers shoulders, or mounted at the floor. When mounted up top like that, there will be less downward pull when you go forward, versus floor mounting is going to pull down on the top of your shoulders and the seat. Basically it's the comparison of having your strapped to the body or to just the floor. Atleast thats how I see it.

Makes sense physically speaking. Just pulled this from online: idk if it has any real validity or not

"VanGilder says that the location of the shoulder strap mounts depends on the position of the driver. The mounts should be at a 90-degree angle to the line of the driver's spine. That means if the seat is more reclined, the mounts should be lower. But if the seat has the driver sitting up straight, the mounts should be higher. No modifications are necessary depending on whether the driver wears a head-and-neck restraint such as a HANS Device. Remember that these guidelines for properly mounting your seat and belts could be the difference between walking away from a crash and being carried out on a stretcher. But there is no substitute for talking with the belt and seat manufacturer. The manufacturer you choose will offer resources to help you properly mount your seat and belts."

Exactly. It's part of the reason I've yet to really go through and put a 3 or 4 point harness system in my car.
