I need some advice. I'm thinking of starting my performance build with an intake, cai, tb, maf and car delete h or x
pipe. In the future (3-4 years) I'd like to add a Paxton or novi. My end goal is 475-500 rwhp with a blown stroker and 10.? 1/4s

Right now I'm looking at bbk long tubes, bbk 75mm tb, 76 mm bbk maf, bbk under drive pulleys, bbk fender well cai,
24lb injectors (upgrade when I get more power) and a cobra intake.

Will the cobra intake work for my long term goal or should I get the eddy performer 2 to start with? I want to get tf
Heads and a 303 cam during the summer

Also what do you guys recommend. An H pipe or x pipe and why?

Thanks for your input.

I'd run a eddy 2 so you don't need to upgrade later. And I would run something else other then the e303 . Paxton novi is the same thing Paxton makes the novi2k which has since been discontinued for the sn95 5.0 cars which makes me very sad

Go with the Eddy. Saves time and money in the long run.

I've got a catted x on mine, but the cars are gutted. There isn't too much difference in the h or x, just mostly volume. I've heard the h is quieter and less raspy. It's mainly preferences.

h pipes will give you more low end torque while x pipes will give you more high end torque. if I were you i'd get an h pipe

Get a custom grind for the mods you have NOW. In other words, don't get a cam ground for your future mods(is blown).

The e303 is a good na and blower cam. Not the best, but it'll do fine for what you want.

93 cobra long lock, e cam, gt40 lower and custom box upper and a power dyne huffer made 430 fwhp in my customers car. Great throw together motor.

And a vortec blower with more boost will easily make what you want.

Thanks for the advice. I was thinking last night, this is going to be a street car, not a dd as such but driven quite a bit. Would a turbo set up be better? That way I can turn the boost down when not needed. A blower setup would probably be a easier install. Just thinkin

No reason to stroke and boost. Either one will be fine turbo or SC. Just make sure you know which one you going to get.. Help your can choice.

How did the conversion to front wheel drive go?

:D

OP, I would put the edelbrock intake, and I would go ahead and get 42# injectors or something, that way you don't have to re-upgrade later down the road. I have always had issues with turbos being very finnicky at first, but if you have the patience you can get them to be amazing. Blowers are typically a little less problematic, with less kinks.

NO- I am not saying that is every case. Just my experience.

haha, I didn't even consider that option, I just never see people rate power at the fly wheel, besides manufacturers of course. Good catch.

Your injectors aren't steadily pumping out that much fuel, it's what they are capable of. It's a duty cycle. You would tune for them.
