im thinking about ordering the whole pypes exhaust system. headers and the beast set. i heard it was a pain to install. is it worth it to pay the shop or should i suck it up. never pulled an engine before and need to know if you have to. sorry if i sound dumb but im a kid and this is the first car i have really done work on.

dropping the K would be easy for the headers man, makes them slip in and out. like fresh pussy.

sorry for the reference, i'm watching i love you man

but i've done a set of macs, and a set of pypes.. and their about the same thing. as far as design and fitment.

the beast system sounds killer. my friend had it on a 98 auto. we had the tips on there but i had to cut and rebend them when we put dd rims on the back with 315/35s so keep that in mind if you use their supplied manderal bends and tips. just to make it easier i dumped the mufflers when i put the long tubes on because he wanted a killer tone.

good luck let us know what you come up with.

It really depends on you. If you really want to learn how to work on your car, do it yourself. Just be warned that any and all exhaust work sucks balls.

DIY... nothing beats the feeling of figuring it out yourself (IMO).

If you don't have the tools and knowledge to work on your car then just pay someone to do it. No need in risking bodily harm working under a car if you don't need to. I've paid people to do things i could easily do myself just because of the time factor.

I installed my own exhaust. bbk shorties, pypes catted x, and custom spintech side exhaust. complete p.i.t.a. but i would not have done it any other way. its a great way to learn about your car. too me a couple days, but i was taking my time and had some issues getting the stock exhaust manifolds out.

Long tubes are a nightmare. If you use stage 8 locking bolts it is worse but worth it. If you have a lift and can drop the k member then go for it.
