Is there anyway to make the 5.0 exhaust trumpet

God i found a new clip with the awesome trumpet example.. listen to this 4.6 right when the clip starts @ 23 seconds (notice how smooth it sounds).. then listen @ 24 seconds when it trumpets (sounds like hell on earth) @ 2500Rpm.. that is so sexy. DAMN IT!! If i knew the 5.0 didn't do this i wouldn't got it. I thought it was a special thing for v8 mustangs in general

looks like i need to go make an exhaust vid. i know exactlyy what your talking about and when mine does it it sounds amazing . stock mufflers o/r x and stock manifolds. i think on the 4v's its a llittle more appearant because of the imrc's opening at 3k. brb.

Might be Eww, but you should hear the MAC mufflers do it. Sounds like a nasty Harley Davidson from inside the car. The 3v's do it also and it sounds nice also. Something you have to acquire. The SLP LM1 might not sound good because its LM1's, but still it has the signature 4.6L 2500rpm roar

=] Cool. Cant wait till you post it up. The 4v's do it nicely! Espically the 2003-2004 cobra. The 96-98 Cobra sounds bad ass right behind it.

The thing is to hear it from outside the car and not inside because it sounds terrible inside lol.

Im uploading the vids now. they are all HD so it might take a few. I took them with the top down as i didnt have a companion to help out lol. yall feel privileged because its smokin balls hot outside!. Its okay though, i got in a pavement altercation with a genesis 3.8 with AEM stickers plastered on it on the way home. with i could hold the camera, steer and shift! i would have caught it on tape for ya! I smoked him. guess these yougin's just dont know about them ol' bubble body cobras! lol. 300hp FTW! vods to come soon!

ok here we go. I took several, there was a little more wind noise than i wanted so i apologize. You can hear the trumpet thing at around 2k really well and then at 3k you can really hear the IMRC's open up, I have always heard that they open at 3500 but at 3 you can hear and feel a diff so im sure thats where they really open. Stock manifolds, o/r x pipe and stock mufflers, sorry for the one crotch vid. it was a little difficult to get these lol.

Must be the stock mufflers because i didn't hear it as much. The only video i really heard it in is the "20120624153056" video after 13 seconds. I know if you know some Flowmasters on there it will get so much louder.

I was behind a 03 GT today at my local mustang cruise. His car didn't do it all. He had dumps so im wondering if dumps take that sound away on some setups.

my friend had Mac mufflers on his 03 GT, sounded good but I don't recall any of that sound. I also didn't know bout it then so who knows. Either way do not want lol

LOL, its okay. When i had my 97GT i didn't want it either. I think i made a thread on here asking how to get rid of that BLAT @ 2500rpm. Now couple years later i want it back on a 5.0, Go figure. I dont want it for the inside sound, but more for the outside sound. It sounds like 2012.. the ends of earth is here haha.

I had flows and macs on my 97GT and oh ya it did it with an o/r pipe. But only with a H or X. The o/r prochamber doesn't make that sound. When i had the flows and o/r prochamber it was very very smooth. No trumpet. But when i changed to the o/r H it was hell on earth... with both my flows and mac mufflers.

Gotta be honest with you the normal sound a 5.0 makes is way better than that sound, and if you only like it on the outside and hate it on the inside why would you want it on your own car? doesn't make sense bro.

I agree trumpet is not a good choice of words for describing a sound. A trumpet can make music lol our mustangs make amazing sounds. I think that all Hondas with exhaust on them sound like a clarinet lmao
