Found this on Ebay before

These guys offer what looks like a fairly complete intake kit- I'm going PI for my car- price also seems very reasonable.

Should I go for it? I've done a lot of reading here on the whole PI conundrum, and am aware of the creative RTV engineering needed around the gaskets because of the coolant passages not lining up. I've had my GT for almost a month now and have not gone WOT even once b/c I don't want to blow the plastic crossover.

For as low as the price is, I'm suspicious. I don't think it's a Ford PI intake, but rather one of the aftermarket one's. A stock Ford PI intake is about 200 bucks, by it'self, brand new.

For the swap, all you need is an intake, PI intake gasket's, RTV, a alternator bracket (although I never used a different one) and the second temp location tapped.

^^Yup... and the new PI coolant hose that runs below the intake. Might as well, anyway...

Just found out that I have a machine shop near me! Therefore, next question is... could someone show a pic of where the second sensor has to be tapped out? Now BACK to Ebay I go in search of a better kit.

I'm planning this to be an all-day job, I'm a novice but this looks to be pretty straightforward based on the reading I've done (and trust me I've done lots!)

Takes me about two hours to do now, sao it won't be that bad.

I don't have a pic, but if you look at the thermostat area on the crossover, there is a flat spot there, there's where we all do it. It looks like a rough cast boss.

Gonna go with this one, it's plug and play. Second sensor is drilled already. Costs a little more but it's idiot-proof and that's what this idiot (me) needs LOL

Guess it'll be a near-future weekend project... works for me I can do my tune-up and get to the plugs super easy while I'm there.

Once you get it apart, it's really obvious what to do, so you should be able to breeze through it.
