Ok trying 2 get my rebuild to crank over for a few days. So I check da timing many times tighting roller 3/4 turn after picking da cylinder so on and so on. So I don't know if that could be a problem. But before when my car was running and I unplugged the MAF. The car didn't start. But now it revs up? without the MAF n holds the revs. With the MAF? ?plugged? in it just revs up and dies out or I have 2 hold the pedal to keep it from stalling out. Help. I got the maf from summit racing its a 24lb injector MAF.

so let me try and translate... timing is good, lifter to pushrod length is good, before this new MAF, disconnecting the old one, the car
would not start.. After changing the MAF to summit (calb. 24lb) now plugged in it will start, then die. and disconnected it will start
and run fine.. sounds about right?
I've never been a huge fan of aftermarket MAF sensors themselves. what size is the new MAF? (mm)

Go back to the factory MAF sensor. You can do a lot of modifications to the engine and never "peg" the OEM MAF sensor. Aftermarket MAF's can be a real pain in the ass. Money better spent somewhere else.

Well, for starters do you have #24 injectors? like said above a MAF that is "calibrated" is basically a quick fix band aid. I had a Summit MAF and i had 0 issues with it but i learned me lesson on that stuff. I would suggest seeing how the car runs with the original MAF in place, and since you elarged your MAF if at all, you may be throwing the whole system off balance meaning your TPS could be not right, if you understand what im saying. Alot of stuff with air/fuel isnt just a plug and play type of deal, especially on our years (94-95)

I got the 24 lb injector when I got the MAF. I can't found da old one right now to try da old one. The engine cranked over before but ran like ass. When I had da old maf b4 my car when down I try to see if the car would run without the MAF. It wouldn't crank up. But now I got this 70mm MAF sensor hasn't work right. When I hold da throttle the motor holds than stalls out. I'm going 2 clean it and see what happens for now.

Did you mess with your timing at all? also when you changed injectors, did you torque your upper intake properly? it almost sounds like its either a vacuum leak or your TPS voltage is off. What all did you mess with when you changed the injectors/maf. If your MAF is bad it will still run and idle but it will idle like shit, but it probably wont die. If its brand new i wouldnt worry about cleaning it, id be willing to bet its either a timing issue or your TPS is out of whack.
