As the title implied, a buddy of mine is thinking of buying a '97 GT. Here's the ad:

Are there any 4.6 2v specific things to look out for? I mean, besides strange vibrations, obvious body damage or overall condition?

if it drives like shit, has no balls up past 4k rpm, and just little tiny ones anywhere below that, it sounds like a perfect example of an NPI car. grab it while it lasts!

pics didn't load before. looks good. I hear with blowers some of the real good drivers can hit 14s!


considering it has the blower, I'd check oil and make sure its being changed religiously as that will tell what kind of life the vehicle has had. just general stuff that you'd check on every car. only problem I've had with mine is the lash adjusters sinking from oil starvation after sitting for long periods of time. you'll be able to tell if it does that though!

Hey Deeplist I dont think you have any room to talk about Badges there buddy. lol

Id like to know how they got the T5 to mate up to the 4.6....

Id make sure they dont have it nice and warmed up when you go to check on it. A cold start will let you know if the tensioners are going and if the lifters need lovin.

That is some crapy wiring on the iat.. I would look see what other wiring has been hacked.. I don't see the bypass valve either.. Might just be hiden.
