Heads are on!

Next step is getting cams installed, then my buddy Turbo2vGT is coming over Tuesday to time it for me, and after that it should be all uphill from there... At least I HOPE lol.

Working on getting rear end reinstalled. Pinion is in, just need to get a 3/8 to 1/2 step up adapter (again) and get the preload set. Then throw the carrier in, attach the axles, and reinstall brakes and rear wheels. Hoping to have it on the road by Wednesday or Thursday... We'll see fellas... We'll see...

Thanks man. Yeah it just seems to be that time of year. Everybody is getting the motivation we need to get our shit done. Hell look at your car man, your almost there!

I've been doing a little research and it would appear I need a special tool to install the cams on this thing.. Any idea if the local auto joke stores rent the tool I need?

I'm reading of people using just a 3/8 extension and breaker bar with the press on cam gears (like I have) but can't get anywhere else on it. There's no real clear directions on cam installs. I feel noobish but this is my first time dickin with cams, and I chose a SOHC to do it on. Only other thing I did was changed the timing belt on my sisters turdscort. Didn't even think about it when I was doing it but it was cake. Now you toss in changing the cams, getting them in the right position, then getting the chains and shit all ready to go.. Just seems tough without clear instructions.

Like I don't have to sweat the chains and shit because when my buddy comes over he'll do that and I'll pay attention so I know what he's doing, but I need to get these cams installed.. And can't for the life of me find somewhere that says "do this, then this, then this" But I'll keep looking

I've been reading that oiling those filters is a no no.. So if you didn't already know that, don't oil it. And if you ever get tired of it switch to the 6637 from riffraff, it's like $90 with shipping

But the straight piping is like a ****in orgasm everytime I hit the gas pedal man. I swear to you that is probably the best sound you can get out of those things
