Locking Lugnuts?

Now that i know the key is in your glove box, I will break your window, break the lock on the glove box, and steel your wheels. But look on the bright side, I will leave the car chocked on batteries so you can go and scrap them for $20.00.

oh yeah, i dont lock my glove box either.....just to make it easier on ya

Sorry, I've never really seen the point in buying them though! If somebody wants your wheels, they will get them! It isn't like thieves cannot buy the exact same keys!! You don't have to be special to buy one! That's just the way my brain thinks about locking lugs.

the are worth the investment for me. and there are hundreds of keys for locking lug nuts it would be almost impossible for the thieves to have the same one just be responsible where u leave ur key and ur fine but worth the extra few dollars for me.

Had some on all 4 wheels till i broke the key. Now i just have all lugs :/ because how easy it was to remove them.

Is it worth being stranded on a dark cold road just because you broke the key and cant remove your flat tire? NOPE

It isn't like thieves cannot buy the exact same keys!! You don't have to be special to buy one! That's just the way my brain thinks about locking lugs.

If a thief can afford the hundreds if not thousands of variations of key combination/types out there I would think that they wouldn't need to steal wheels for a living...

Get the Gorrilla locks. They even sell a set where all of the wheels are locks. Even if they find the key in the car it still takes longer to get the lug off because it slows you down lining up the locks. if you loose the lock you can always order a new one.
I had a set of them on my old truck and they saved my wheels. The theives took my center caps and tore the truck apart looking for the key, well they tore the truck apart stealing the stereo so it was just that I got lucky w/ them not finding the key, however, it was in there. Nearly $4000 in damage to it and I would have been so much worse off if they had gotten the wheels too.

I went ahead and ordered my new lug nuts, I got a set with one lock per wheel. I may or may not decide to use them, but the price was right so I got them just in case. I will more than likely use them, although I've never heard of anyone in the area getting their wheels jacked, but you never know. Thanks everyone!

Yeah, I should have said I also live in a tiny town, too! Everybody knows me, even though I can't really remember them. This town still has the place one would tie their horse up on. Not that small, but close! People do ride their horses in all the time!

A friend of mine is the manager at a Walmart tire n lube, and he said they have a universal key kit that they use fairly often. He also said that it only had maybe 20 pieces, and he has never ran across one he couldn't remove :dontknow:.
