I about to order MAC chrome shorties for my '95 for $170 shipped! I want to get Stage 8 locking header bolts, but I am unsure what length to get; either .75" or 1". It will be going on stock heads. Any recommendations on what gaskets to go with? I want to do this right the first time hahaha. Thanks in advance guys! :eek:ccasion14:

Mr Gasket ultra seal header gaskets, you can get them at AutoZone, Advance etc.

I had a 1" set with my GT40's but when I was going to use them with my AFR's, the 1" was too long. I would try the 1" if you're using an E7 head..

How hard are the Stage 8s to install? I keep hearing horror stories about them. It's either Stage 8 or Percy's Split Lock bolts. Stage 8s are about $30 cheaper. Thanks again for the info!

Just plain old stainless lock washers? I'm kinda on a budget, so $70 for Split Locks is a lot. Is 3/4" enough or should I go 1"? I have E7 heads.

The guy who owned my car before me put on the Saleen body kit and painted it. It looks pretty good from 20ft away but unfortunately the fit is pretty bad and the paint was a MAACO special. I personally would of gone with a Cobra setup, but, eh, I'll just leave it...

Thanks!

Yup good ol stainless lock washers you can get at lowes/HD/Ace and the like. As far as length just pull one of the header bolts out and use a small screw driver and stick it in the hole, measure the length of the hole and then the thickness of the flange on the mac headers. That will tell you how long of a bolt you will need.
