MAF stock position?

what position should the MAF meter be in the airbox. electronics facing up or facing sideways? someone has put a new one in and the electronics are facing to the side. i know that on foxes its facing up. it dosent run very good either.

fwiw mine is up and down in the stock air box

looked at another stock car and found out that the stock position is sideways. thanks for all the wonderful suggestions.
