Had a thought the other day and was wondering if anyone else had the same brain storm...

I just bought a '93 Lincoln Mark Viii... and I had the intake apart and noticed that the MAF meter in the Mark Viii looks an aweful lot like the MAF meter in my '94 GT.... 4 bolt flange and everything...

Sooo... Can I used the Mark Viii MAF which is calibrated for 24# injectors... and obviously use the 24# injectors out of a Mark?

I wouldn't do that. 1)You'll vertually never "peg" the OEM MAF sensor thats in your Mustang now. 2) The injectors for the 4V motor have a very different spray pattern than the 2V. If you look closely at them you'll notice the 2V injectors can be rotated to any position because the fuel spray pattern is for just 1 port, whereas the 4V injectors have a wider spray pattern to cover 2 ports and are indexed (or clocked) to prevent any rotation.

mass air meters are not calibrated to injectors from the factory , the computer is programmed for the different injectors , you would probably only cause problems by swapping mafs and injectors , if you want to put in 24s then get a chip for your computer that will change the injector slopes to 24lbs injectors and leave the MAF alone , it will run alot better that way

Oh thanks man, That's my very first car. Had 36K on it when I got it, that is it's good side currently... other side needs some body work after an encounter with a deer... it now has 65k on it...

Sorry it's been a while since I've been on here, lol
